3 TYPES OF VINTAGE BOOKPLATES
1 boxed set of Antioch Bookplate Company gummed bookplates. Cream background with reading squirrel, trees, sign that reads: "This Book is from the Hoard of ______. Read Thoughtfully, Handle Carefully, Return Promptly" I did not count, but estimate about 40. There are also 2 pink ungummed bookplates with the same pattern. Nicely yellowed with some storage related curling. Some have tiny tears. Box has gold lid with 1 bookplate on cover, bottom is black and reads: Made in USA by Antioch Bookplate Company Yellow Springs, Ohio.
Inside the box are also 9 very nice ungummed cream colored bookplates from The Etchcraft Co. with black writing and images: Ex Libris, Romance (man & woman image), Literature (scroll and quill), Travel (globe) and History (ship). Also an instruction card on how to apply book plates with rubber cement. Nicely yellowed, no creases or stains.
These bookplates are very usable, and suitable for framing as well.
