This English-and-French-language (all copy appears in both languages) catalog of the exhibition features a preface by Pierre Theberge, as well as definitive essays by Yolande Racine and Robert Storr, an Introduction by Yolande Racine, Acknowledgements, a list of Lenders to the Exhibition, a cataloguing of the work, a Biography and list of exhibitions, a bibliography, and an Index of work in the exhibition. Then of course there are the glorious color and black-and-white reproductions of Betty Goodwin's breathtaking work. There are also two black and white photographs (one of the artist's face, the other of her hand in action) that are encased in vellum. The front cover folds out into a two-panel reproduction, as does the back cover. The work, of course, is the heart of the book, and it is staggering. The book is softcover and shows mild wear (almost imperceptible scratching on glossy cover barely visible even on an angle in light), mild wear down the middle of the spine due to opening, a sticker indicating "Desk Copy" on back (lower left visible in picture posted here), and, on the inside, one of the vellum-encased photos (of Betty Goodwin's face) has some slight tearing on the front of the vellum. Otherwise, the book and its contents are in spectacular shape, and it is a rare, out-of-print document of 16 years of this artist's work from the years 1971 - 1987, arguably her peak. Published in 1987 by the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. Softcover. 251 pages. 10.25" x 9". PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS/METHOD: I accept PAYPAL ONLY via this email address. A $8.00 USD shipping and handling charge ($9.50 USD to Canada and Mexico; $14.00 USD to the UK and Europe; $16.00 USD to Japan) will be added to the winning bid. Payment must be received within 14 days of the auction closing. Item will be shipped within a maximum of 7 days of payment clearing, usually sooner. SHIPPING INSURANCE available upon request. | | |
