Charles Mikolaycak - Charles Mikolaycak lived in New York City until his death in 1993. He illustrated over 60 books ranging in subject from the Bible-I AM JOSEPH (Lothrop) and EXODUS (Holiday House)-to folk tales and myths-THE RUMOR OF PAVEL AND PAALI (Harper & Row) and ORPHEUS (Harcourt). His last book, THE HERO OF BREMEN, was published by Holiday House. Mr. Mikolaycak was passionate about colored pencils, drawing, musical comedy scores, theater, and his cats (though not always in that order).
