For anyone who doesn’t already know, I am not a professional bookseller. I describe items to the best of my ability and do my best to research everything before listing; however, if I use a technical term, it is not -- it’s a word! To borrow from a favorite former professor of mine, please read what I wrote, not what you wish I had written. Check my feedback and bid with confidence. IMPORTANT: I work up to 400 miles from home most weeks. I only list auctions when I expect to be home to ship within a couple of days of auction's end. For the next couple of weeks I know I am close enough to make it home on the weekends so timely shipping should be no problem at all. :) Thank you!

Here are two issues of “Tardis” fanzine. The yellow cover one appears to be Volume 4, Number 6. The way they put it on the front cover, you can definitely read the Number 6 part. The Volume appears to be 4 to me. It's yellow on yellow in a font I'm not familiar with, so I could be wrong on the volume. But it's definitely 1979. The other issue clearly reads “TARDIS Volume 5, Number 1” down the spine on the back side, but I can't really find a year on it anywhere. I think I recall seeing something in it dated 1980 as I was taking photos but dogged if I can find it now. I know they're old and I guarantee they are vintage. I looked on Bookfinder for these fanzines. There's lots of Tardis stuff but I could not spot anything that appeared to be any issue of this fanzine. Most stuff was hard cover items that came out in the last couple of years. I have no idea of the value on these, but surely worth the opening bid.

Condition is great. From a clean, non-smoking home. No rips. No tears. No marks. Save the staples being rusty, they appear pretty much as original to me. Photos tell the rest of the tale:

_____________

Front covers. If you look immediately beneath the word “Tardis” on the cover of the yellow one, you can see where the word “Volume” fades into the background. That's why I'm unsure of the Volume number. It looks like a 4 but I'm not 100% positive. . . .

_____________

. . . however, we can definitely see it is 1979 from this shot of the inside front cover, table of contents, and publication information.

_____________

This is the table of contents, etc., for Volume 5, Number 1.

_____________

Back covers of both. You may be able to spot where the volume and number are on the one on the right in this photo. If you can tell there's tiny print down the top right edge, that's it. It's clearly legible in person.

Shipping quoted is Boxed Priority in the USA. Happily ship worldwide via USPS Priority Mail – also boxed – I do not use envelopes for mailing such rarities – with no other options available. Monthly invoicing and completely combined shipping are gladly offered for established customers to save you shipping $$$. :)

As a courtesy, I am running this below the photos but PLEASE read it and if you don’t comprehend this paragraph, please do not bid: Payment is either going to involve Pay Pal or a trip to the Post Office because the only form of payment I accept other than Pay Pal is a USPS Postal Money order, and the post office is the only place to buy those. Okay? And remember, I gladly ship worldwide and gladly combine shipping whenever possible to save you $$$. Just ask for an invoice so I can manually reduce the shipping eBay automatically calculates for multiple auction wins. Thank you so much for looking! And Good Luck!

As with all of my auctions, the photos you see are the items you’re bidding on. I do not use stock photos or even re-use a single photo if I happen to have more than one of an item to sell. WYSIWYG.

If you are a C.S. Lewis aficionado, you may want to keep an eye on my auctions in coming weeks and/or check my other current listings. I have some rare signed C.S. Lewis-related 1st edition books, unpublished doctoral theses, and other rare Lewis ephemera. Also have a few items coming that are rare JRR Tolkien or “Lord of the Rings” items. And maybe some other Inklings items. Will put them up as quickly as possible.
